Emphasis on athletes' health for Champs 2019

Report by RJRGLEANER Communications Group Sports Reporter Spencer Darlington

With the recent collapse of national 3000, 5000 and 10,000 metres record holder Kemoy Campbell, the governing body for the ISSA Grace Kennedy Boys and Girls Athletics Championships is taking the issue of athletes’ health seriously for this year's staging. As for the issue of having trained personnel to use defibrillators in case of emergencies, Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) president Dr Warren Blake says that shouldn't be an issue:

In the meantime, the RJRGLEANER Communications Group will once again bring live and exclusive coverage of the event on multiple platforms. But having had issues with its 1 spotmedia mobile app in previous championships, General Manager of Television and Cable Services at TVJ, Claire Grant says fans can rest assured that it will be able to handle the traffic.

The March 26-30 ISSA Grace Kennedy Boys and Girls Championships will be live and exclusive on TVJ, TVJ SN and onespotmedia.com with live and extensive radio coverage on Hitz 92 FM.
