EXCLUSIVE: Walcott to stay at STETHS

Voice of STETHS' Principal Keith Wellington

RJR Sports online understands that St Elizabeth Technical's track and field head coach Reynaldo Walcott has decided to remain in that position at his alma mater instead of making a reported move to Wolmer's Boys School.

Last month RJR sources indicated that Walcott was the front-runner to take over at the heroes circle-based institution.

However, it's understood that subsequent developments have resulted in Walcott deciding to remain at STETHS where he has been the head coach for the past three seasons.

STETHS Principal Keith Wellington was very coy about the latest development while speaking on HITZ 92 FM’s ‘Sports Grill’on Tuesday.

“He has not given us any indication that he will be leaving anytime soon,” said Wellington. The STETHS Principal was also asked to shed some light on information reaching RJR Sports online that sports goods manufacturers Puma were instrumental in the efforts to keep Walcott at STETHS.

“There are three possible answers to that; yes it is true, not it is not true or I can-not comment on that so at this point in time, I would not like to comment,” added Wellington.
