Felix opposed to proposal to wipe out world records set before 2005

Voice of American multiple world and Olympic medallist Allyson Felix

Veteran American sprinter Allyson Felix is against the proposal by European Athletics for world and European records set before 2005 to be struck from the books.

The 31 year old 22-time Olympic and World Championship medallist is in Jamaica for this Saturday's 14th staging of the Jamaica International Invitational.

“I think it’s a much more complex issue. I think there are records that need to be looked at but I also think there are records that are clean so I think to wipe them out all-together is not the answer but it’s good that the discussion has started,” said Felix.
