Fletcher named in Reggae Boyz starting X1 for Honduras friendly

Schoolboy sensation Jourdaine Fletcher has been named in the Reggae Boyz X1 to start Thursday’s friendly international against Honduras in Houston, Texas starting at 8:30 pm Jamaica time.

Fletcher played the last 10 minutes of the recent friendly international against the United States in Tennessee where the Reggae Boyz went down 1-0.

The starting X1 is completed by goalkeeper Ryan Thompson; defenders Damion Lowe, Ladale Richie, Rosario Harriott and Oniel Fisher; midfielders Kevon Lambert, Jevaughn Watson, Michael Binns and Owayne Gordon with the Red Stripe Premier League’s leading scorer Shamar Nicholson being the other striker.

Overall, the team is showing six changes from the match against the United States with goalkeeper Thompson, Richie, Harriott, Lambert, Fletcher and Nicholson all coming into the starting X1 to replace goalkeeper Andre Blake, Sergio Campbell, Alvas Powell, Ewan Grandison, Cory Burke and Romario Williams.

The Reggae Boyz are using these matches as preparation for their Caribbean Cup defence in June and the CONCACAF Gold Cup in July.
