After hanging up his boots last year, former Jamaican international Omar Cummings has been appointed as youth co-ordinator of United Soccer League side FC Cincinatti. The former Colorado Rapids player will be in charge of scouting Under-20 players in the area for a chance of trials to get into the first team.
The 35 year old Cummings spent the last two years of his professional career with the Ohio - based club where he scored 3 goals in 20 appearances. Between 2008 and 2012, the Old Harbour-born Cummings scored 7 goals in 35 appearances for the Reggae Boyz.
He was part of successful Jamaican teams which won the Caribbean Cup in 2008 and 2010. Club-wise he helped the Colorado Rapids win the MLS title in 2010.
