Former West Indies and Jamaican fast bowler Franklyn Rose, who likened his seven week ordeal in prison in Auckland, New Zealand, to a hellish state, says he'll be taking out a law suit for the wrongs against him by New Zealand.

Rose spoke with RJR Sports online in an exclusive interview. “I just need to get a few stuff off my chest then put some legal documents together to file a civil suit against the New Zealand government. I’m not going to allow someone to throw me in a prison cell and lock me away for seven weeks and get away with it….and then kick you out of their country…so they need to give an explanation and explain why they treated me like that. The seven weeks were like seven years,” said Rose.

Rose was deported to Jamaica on April 13 for overstaying his time after his 2 year coaching contract at the University of Auckland's Cricket Club and his visa expired in 2012.

The 44 year old pacer also raised allegations of racism by the police in New Zealand, after nothing came of his reports to being mugged by four Caucasians who attempted to steal his car.

Rose who sustained bloodclots in his lungs, internal bleeding in his head and required plastic surgery to fix damaged nerve on his index finger of his bowling hand, says he was also racially profiled in hospital.

You can see a full length interview with Franklyn Rose this Thursday during ‘Eye on Sports’ on TVJ.
