Former Wolmer's Girls standout sparkles for US university in volleyball

Former Wolmer's Girls standout and national player Aiko Jones was once again at her best for the University of Louisville at the weekend as the Cardinals won all three games contested at the ACC Fleur De Lis Volleyball Tournament in Kentucky. Jones was the second highest scorer for the Cardinals in their opening game with a 3-0 win over Tennessee Tech, as she registered 8 points and 3 blocks.

She doubled her count against Western Kentucky with 16 points, 14 kills and 4 blocks as the Cardinals won 3-1.
The red-shirted freshman then scored 15 points with 13 kills and 4 blocks in her team's 3-1 win over Arizona State.

Jones was also the only player from Louisville to be named in the All-Stars team for the Cardinal Classic Tournament recently. The Cardinals are currently ranked 24th in the USA college team rankings.
