Fraser-Pryce shortlisted for IAAF Female AOY Award

Jamaica's reigning world 100 metre champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is among five athletes shortlisted for the IAAF Female Athlete of the Year Award. Fraser-Pryce has been shorltisted following her exploits in 2019 in which she won two gold medals at the World Championships in Doha, the 100 and sprint relay both in world leading times, won the Pan American Games 200 metre title and won seven of her 10 races at 100 meters.

Fraser-Pryce is joined by Sifan Hassan of the Netherlands who won world 1500m and 10,000m titles in Kenyan marathon world record holder Brigid Kosgei, American world champion and 400 metre hurdles world record holder Dalilah Muhammad and Venezuelan triple jump world champion Yulimar Rojas.

The IAAF  male and female world Athletes of the Year will be announced at the 2019 World Athletics Awards Gala in Monaco on Saturday, Nnovember 23.
