Frome Technical High girls are the new western zone volleyball champions, after defeating Manning's School 23-25, 25-16, 25-21, 26-24, to lift that championship and an automatic spot in the national playoffs. The boys match saw Manning's School retaining their title after out playing Frome Technical 25-11, 23-25, 25-17, 25-13.
In the Kingston and St Andrew Zone semi-final, Wolmer's Girls' defeated Campion College in straight sets 25-13, 25-19, 25-11. In the other semi-final match, Camperdown High beat Excelsior High 25-23, 26-24, 23-25, 25-23 to book their place in the final against Wolmer's Girls.
The KSA Zone finals will be played at the UWI Bowl on Tuesday. At 1:00 pm, Wolmer's Girls' oppose Camperdown and at 3:00 pm, Wolmer's Boys take on Camperdown. The Central Zone will also be played on Tuesday at Jose Marti Technical. At 1:00 pm, St Jago play St Catherine High in a girls’contest, while at 3:00 pm, St Jago battle Oracabessa High in boys’ action.
