Garvey Maceo clinch Headley Cup semi-final spot

Garvey Maceo confirmed their place in the last four of the ISSA Grace Headley Cup after a tense one wicket win over Port Antonio in their play-off match at Calabar on Thursday. Batting first, Port Antonio were dismissed for 134 with Shawn Haye 63 and Ackeim Clarke 24 getting most runs. Anjay Gayle 2-23 ended pick of the Garvey Maceo bowlers.

In reply, Warren Campbell 34 and Joshua Newman 28, led Garvey Maceo to victory at 135-9. Larry Wilson 3-14 and Haye 3-38, were the top bowlers for Port Antonio.

Port Antonio will next meet Manchester High in the semi-final round of the competition, while St Elizabeth Technical will oppose Munro College.
