Gayle could have farewell test in the Caribbean

Jamaicans could get the opportunity to see West Indies opener Chris Gayle in a test match for the final time before his retirement with the left-hander announcing at a press conference on Wednesday morning that he will extend his international career beyond the World Cup. The 39 year old had announced earlier this year that he would retire from One Day International cricket after the ongoing World Cup, having represented the West Indies for two decades.

But with India scheduled to tour the Caribbean this summer and a test match set for Sabina Park, Gayle has had a change of heart, noting that he will be part of this summer’s test and ODI series in the Caribbean against India. he Indians will travel to the region for a full tour including three Twenty20s, three ODI's and two tests, with the final test scheduled for Sabina Park from August 30 to September 3.
