The search is now on for a new Principal at the Caribbean's only sports educational institution, The G.C. Foster College, located in Angels, St. Catherine.
An advertisement under the heading of KPMG in Sunday's Jamaica Observer newspaper called for applications to fill the position of Principal at the 34-year-old institution.
The deadline for applications is April 30.
The current Principal Edward Shakes, who was appointed in 2009 could not be reached for a comment on Sunday. However, a highly placed RJR Sports Online source revealed that Mr. Shakes would be retiring shortly. It's also understood that his current contract, which is an extension, will expire in August this year.
Shakes is the fifth Principal in the history of school following Yvonne Kong, Noel Monteith, Dr. Gloria Burke and the late Jimmy Carnegie.
