Good opening day for batsmen in latest JCA trial match

It was another good day for the batsmen as Paul Palmer's X1 racked up 302 on Tuesday’s  opening day of the fifth Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) trial match, a four day affair at Sabina Park.

Palmer led his team's charge with 73 while Damion Jacobs contributed 52. David Bernard Jnr added 38 while overseas player, Guyana's Trevon Grifith made 27.

Pacer Nicholson Gordon took four wickets

Campbell's X1 will begin their reply on Wednesday and will be the first opportunity for the next overseas player, Barbadian Kirk Edwards to impress the selectors.
