Harbour view blank Cavalier in Monday night RSPL clash

Last season's third place finishers Cavalier lost their first game of the Red Stripe Premier League season after going down 3-0 to Harbour View at the Harbour View Mini Stadium on Monday night. After a scoreless first half, goals from John Luca Levee in the 55th minute, Kevon Farquharson in the 70th minute and Tevin Scott in stoppage time, led Harbour View to their second straight win. The Stars of the East join Molynes United atop the table with 6 points while Cavalier remain on 3 points.

Meanwhile, former Reggae Boy Ricardo 'Bibi' Gardner will be hoping for a change of fortunes soon as his Portmore United suffered their second straight defeat to a newly promoted team  on Sunday. The reigning champions were beaten 2-0 by Vere United following a 3-0 loss to Molynes in their opening fixture. Xahne Reid in the 13th and Zain Hylton in the 75th minute gave Vere their first victory

Elsewhere, Molynes United made it two from two after a come from behind 3-2 win over UWI  at Drewsland.
Jabari Hylton's double put UWI 2-0 ahead after 47 minutes. But Nicholas Nelson in the 53rd, Fabiki Farqarhson in the 59th and Jermy Nelson in the 72nd minute, led the fightback for the newly promoted Molynes.

Arnett Gardens got their first win under coach Alex Thomas as they clipped Tivoli Gardens 1-0  in the West Kingston derby at the Edward Seaga Sports Complex. Damari Deacon struck two minutes before time to give Arnett the 3 points.

Stephen Williams' goal gave Waterhouse a 1-0 win over Dunbeholden at the  Royal Lakes Complex. And Paul “Tegat” Davis had to settle for a point in his first game as coach of Mount Pleasant as they drew 1-1 with Humble Lion. Rohan Richards put Humble Lion ahead in the 33rd minute but Kemar Beckford's 71st minute strike ensured a share of the points.
