Chairman of Harbour view football club, Carvel Stewart, says the club has accepted coach Ricardo "Bibi" Gardner's resignation but is hoping the former Reggae Boy will reconsider his position. Gardner tendered his resignation on Monday but Stewart says it wasn't clear what the reasons were for him to make the move.
Stewart says he tried calling Gardner but hasn't heard from the club legend, who was into his second season as a full time coach with a club. Fabian Taylor will now take charge of the club in the interim with another former Reggae Boy and club team-mate Damion "Stew Peas" Stewart in an assistant role.
After 15 matches this season, Harbour View have won just twice with seven games ending in a draw. They are 11th in the 12 team standing on 13 points, the same as 10th placed Reno who has conceded less goals.
