Haynes, Walsh 'swap places'

It's a case of swapping places, with Robert Haynes, until recently a member of the West Indies senior selection panel, replacing Courtney Walsh on the Jamaica senior selection panel, Walsh himself having taken a place on the regional selection panel.

Haynes had been a West Indies selector since 2008 but was dropped from the panel this past summer. His departure saw the rise of Walsh to the regional panel, forcing the former world record holder for most wickets in tests to also demit office as 2nd Vice President of the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA).

Osman Dan , acting president of St. Catherine Cricket Club, was on Tuesday night elected by the JCA Board of Directors to replace Walsh as second V.P.

The matter was a special item at the board's meeting on Tuesday night where Wayne Lewis, West Indies Players Association secretary, was named chairman of the National Under-19 selection panel, a job previously held by Walsh.
