Holder to play for Northamptonshire

Windies captain Jason Holder has signed for English County club Northamptonshire for the first month of the 2019 season. The 27 year old Barbadian  Bajan, who is the number one ranked all-rounder in the world, can play in Northamptonshire's first two division two games against Middlesex on April 5 and Glamorgan on April 11 as well as the opening six one day cup games.

His move is subject to a 'no objection certificate' being issued by Cricket West Indies, and will see the number one ranked all-rounder play in England for the first time before this summer's World Cup.

Northamptonshire's head coach David Ripley says Holder is one of the world's top players and his leadership skills will be important for the squad.
