Regional women's cricketers retained by the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) will be earning more as of the new contract period starting October 1. More players will also now be contracted with the number up from 11 to 15.
This follows an agreement between the WICB and the West Indies Players Association (WIPA) will see increases in annual retainer fees, sponsorship payments, match fees and captains’ allowances. This is set to cost the board about US $600, 000.
