Innswood High brilliant in ISSA JIIC Under-16 Championship win

Led by another brilliant display from captain Jevor Royal, Innswood High completed a huge innings and 26 run win over Calabar High on Wednesday to win their first ISSA Urban area JIIC Under 16 cricket title.

Facing a 269 run first innings deficit, Calabar were bowled out for 243 in their 2nd innings at Melbourne Oval. Royal took 5-65 for match figures of 10-107.   

Calabar's Captain Bryan Brown made 58, Sashane Simms 43 and Jevaughn Taylor 39 for calabar. Earlier Innswood made 398 in their first innings after resuming on 318-6. Calabar scored 129 in their first innings.

Royal scored his second double century in  schoolboy cricket, blasting 224 after he had resumed on 175. The national under 15 representative had scored 201 against Penwood at the Under 14 level in 2013.
