Innswood High are in the driver's seat of the ISSA Grace Shield final as they hold a massive 366 run lead over Excelsior at stumps on Wednesday’s second and penultimate day at the Melbourne Oval. Resuming on 179-6, Excelsior managed only 14 more runs before being dismissed for 193 replying to Innswood's first inning 223.
National Under-19 player Raewin Senior added just 4 to his overnight 58 to top score with 62 against 5-56 from West Indies Under-19 player Jeavour Royal and 4-19 from Omario Wollaston. Innswood then piled on the runs in their second innings getting to a commanding 336-9 at stumps, thanks to a second century in two matches from Royal as he made 109 with Oshane Levy getting 82 and Carlos Brown 54. Brandon English with 2-28 and Rohan Beadle 2-35 have so far been taken most wickets for Excelsior.
