Intercol AGM set for GC Foster College but no election for presidency

After more than a month of being without a president, RJR Sports has been reliably informed that, an Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the Intercollegiate Sports Association (Intercol) will take place this Thursday at GC Foster College. However, our sources say that a president will not be elected at the AGM, but instead principals of the affiliated institutions will start to take a more vested interest in Intercol similar to the roles principals play at the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA).

Back in July then President Dalton Myers and General Secretary Laurence Garriques both resigned their posts. Myers resigned citing family commitments and other personal reasons as well as other opportunities which would take time away from his presidential obligations. His resignation took effect at the end of July.

Meanwhile, General Secretary Garriques who also cited personal reasons and family commitments for his resignation that took effect at the end of August. Both Myers and Garriques were in the third year of their 4 year term which was scheduled to come to an end in June of 2019.
