The seven member committee which was set-up by the Intercollegiate Sports Association to oversee operations in the wake of the resignation of president Dalton Myers late last year, will stay in place until the association's Annual General Meeting (AGM) in June.
The committee which was constructed to serve for a six week term ahead of what was to be an Extra-Ordinary General Meeting in October 2018 will remain in place until the end of the competitive season.
This was confirmed by committee chairman and head of sports at the Northern Caribbean University, Sefton Brown.
The committee was agreed on by some 40 persons from institutions affiliated with Intercol and Brown says the reason for the prolonged appointment was to ensure a smooth turnover to the next elected president.
Brown however noted that though the committee was set-up as a short-term solution, there is a possibility it could also go beyond June.
The committee was voted on following the resignations of president Dalton Myers and general secretary Laurence Garriques in July 2018 with both citing personal and family reasons for their departure.
The other six members making-up the commitee are drawn from the University of the West Indies, GC Foster College, Shortwood Teachers College, UTech and Exed Community College.
