Jamaica Baseball Association hoping to introduce the sport to high schools

General Secretary of the Jamaica Baseball Association Errol Mattias says he is hoping to train 20 coaches between now and June to introduce the sport in high schools across the island.

Mattias says these coaches once trained will have the capabilities of working with primary schools and secondary school students.

“We are looking at how best we can develop our coaches; we are looking at a county level so we want to start between March and June to get these coaches ready to take the sport into the high schools and continue with the primary schools programme. We want to look at how best we can pull those coaches who have gone through the Level One programme to move into the Level Two.
