Jamaica Select X1 taste victory in Antigua

The Jamaican Select X1 rebounded from Saturday’s opening defeat at the Antigua and Barbuda Independence Celebrations Tri-Nation T20 tournament with a 50 run win over Guyana on Sunday. The Jamaica Select team first posted 179-6 with captain Chadwick Walton top-scoring with 31, while Trevon Griffiths made 30 and Fabian Allen 29. 

There was one wicket each for Veerasammy Permaul, Keemo Paul and Steven Jacobs. Guyana were restricted to 129-8 in reply.  Christopher Lamont did the damage, bagging 3-8. West Indies Under-19 World Cup hero Keemo Paul made 35 and Anthony Bramble 33. The Jamaicans had lost by 5 wickets to hosts Antigua on Saturday.
