Jamaica whips Cuba to reach CONCACAF Championship

Jamaica's under-17s booked their place at the 2015 CONCACAF Championship with a 3-0 victory over defending champion Cuba in Caribbean Football Union (CFU) round of qualifying in Haiti Friday evening.

Victory for the young Reggae Boyz left Jamaica atop the group, and unbeaten, following games against Guadeloupe and Martinique as well.

The Jamaicans had made five attacking changes for the game, with Tajea Brown, Hakim Williams, and Alex Thompson, who joining Shandel Senior at mid-field, while Donovan Dawkins and Peter Lee Vassell started up front.

The team also made defensive changes, with Rhyan Knight and Akeem Chambers in goal.

The Jamaicans will now play their Haitian hosts, who won the second group, for the CJU Championship, on Sunday.
