Jamaica's horror batting show continues

Jamaica's horror show with the bat continued even against the weakest team in the WICB regional professional league four day tournament,  as the Leeward Islands Hurricanes held the upper hand after day one of their contest at Warner Park in St. Kitts.

Entering Saturday's second day, the bottom placed Hurricanes reached 122 for 1 after dismissing the Jamaica Franchise for 175.

Kenroy Peters 84 and Montcin Hodge 26 are the batsmen  at the crease.

Lyndel Richardson is the man out for 11 with Jamaica's leg spinner Damion Jacobs the wicket-taker.

In the Jamaica Franchise total of 175 all out - just after lunch - Chadwick Walton was the chief run getter with 62, Captain Tamar Lambert made 30 and Shacoya Thomas 23.

Gavin Tonge claimed 4 for 34 and Rakheem Cornwall 3 for 54.

Jamaica are lying fourth in the standings on 65 points, being led by Guyana Jaguars on 123 points.
