JC held by STATHS in Manning Cup opener

2016 ISSA Flow Manning Cup champions Jamaica College had a stuttering start to their title defence after being held 1-1 by St Andrew Technical at the Montego Bay Sports Complex on Saturday. Meanwhile, beaten last year's beaten finalists Wolmers had no such problems, as they drubbed Pembroke Hall 8-0 at Heroes’ Circle. 

Xavier Crossdale, Mario Sailesman and Nickashae Murray all bagged a brace for the David Laylor coached team. 

Walker Cup champions Kingston College easily dispatched of Spanish Town high 6-0 at the Stadium East Field.

Bridgeport also ran out 6-0 winners over Spanish Town High while Charlie Smith hammered cedar grove 7-2 at the Anthony Spaulding Complex. Calabar Smith high were also impressive on the opening day, blanking Jonathan Grant 5-0.
