JC progress in Manning Cup but Wolmer's ousted

Defending champions Jamaica College are through to the quarter final round of the ISSA Flow Manning Cup after ousting Charlie Smith in Wednesday’s second round return leg game  at Stadium East. JC prevailed 3-0 to win the tie 5-2 on aggregate.

Also receiving the boot were last year’s beaten finalist Wolmer's who went down to 10-man Bridgeport High 2-1 to exit on a similar aggregate. Calabar lost the battle but won the war as they advanced ahead of Excelsior High.

Leading 2-0 from the first leg, Calabar couldn't come out of first gear and were beaten 1-0 on the day, Thorne Buchannan scoring in the 15th minute but Calabar held on to advance to the round of eight. St Andrew Technical also made it through following their 0-0 draw with Camperdown.

This game produced no goals but STATHS had already done the job from the first leg as they made it through on the away goal rule.
