JCA delays backing Cameron for third term

Report by RJR Group Sports Reporter Renardo Brown

The Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) will hold-off on its decision whether or not they will back Dave Cameron for a third term as president of the West Indies Cricket  Board (WICB). The topic was up for discussion at Wednesday night's monthly board meeting held at Sabina Park.

According to information disclosed to RJR Sports, the JCA is likely to request a meeting with Cameron before making a decision on the matter. The decision follows in a similar path to the 2015 bid from Cameron. The JCA had initially opted not to back the Jamaican before mounting pressure caused a overturn of that decision.

It is also believed that the JCA will be adding three persons to their list of directors, one of which is a prominent figure at the University of The West Indies, while another is well known in political circles.
