JCA honours Shiv

Voice of JCA president Wilford 'Billy' Heaven

After what could be his last game at Sabina Park, former West Indies middle-order batsman, Shivnarine Chanderpaul was on Monday honoured by the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) for his contribution to cricket in the region.

The award was presented by President of the JCA Wilford 'Billy' Heaven. Chanderpaul was also praised by Guyana Jaguars coach Esuan Crandon for his influence on the team.

“As a cricketing nation, I think it is fitting to recognize his contribution to the game of cricket generally; to West Indies cricket, to Guyana cricket and for entertaining us here at Sabina Park,” said Heaven.
