JFF accepts ISSA's report into JC Super Cup controversy

The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has accepted the report issued by the Inter-Secondary School Sports Association (ISSA) following the disciplinary hearing with members of the Jamaica College coaching and management staff.

This followed an incident at Sabina Park where JC officials were accused of verbally abusing the match officials after the referees voided a goal scored directly from a free kick after an indirect free kick had been ruled. On Tuesday, JFF president Michael Ricketts revealed that the governing body for football had asked ISSA for a report.

On Wednesday, ISSA's Disciplinary Committee ordered the JC officials to tender a written apology to the match officials. JFF General Secretary Dalton Wint told RJR Sports that while the federation thought the sanction was light, it would take no further action on the matter. Wint said the JFF hopes JC  would abide by their pledge to accept rulings from match officials as final.
