The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has found itself in hot water about its treatment of Reggae Girlz Ambassador Cedella Marley during the ongoing FIFA Women's World Cup. Marley is largely credited with resuscitating the national senior women's programme after it was abandoned in 2008. Pictures were circulated on Sunday, showing Marley greeting the Reggae Girlz through a fence following their opening match against Brazil.
It later emerged that Marley did not have the requisite accreditation which would have allowed her closer access to the Jamaican players.
