JOA intensifies plans for 2020 Olympics

Though the next Olympic Games is still over two and a half years away, the Jamaica Olympic Association is continuing to put plans in place for the country to perform to the best of its ability.

The association is currently involved in planning for the CAC, Pan American and Commonwealth Games.

Through the recent historic signing of an MOU between the Jamaica Olympic Associaiton and the Tottori Prefecture of Japan regarding a mandatory training camp to be held in that country, may be met with differing views, the associaiton is pushing on in closing the deal.

A delegation comprising Secretary General Alan Beckford and board members Raymond Anderson and Nichole Case are presently in Miami where they will among other things, attend a workshop and meet with the Olympic Solidarity Committee.

A team from the JOA  is also currently in the Goald Coast of Australia ahead of the 2018 Commonwealth Games, while president Christopher Samuda is in Russia where he will deliver the key note address at the Olympic Committee meeting.
