'Junglists' tame the Lion to go third in RSPL

Arnett Gardens’ head coach Jerome Waite says his team could have scored more but didn't want to criticize them too much following their 3-0 defeat of Humble Lion in their Red Stripe Premier League match on Monday night. Kemal Malcolm opened the scoring for Arnett on the stroke of half-time as the ‘Junglists’ went into the break in front by a goal to nil.

And it was malcolm who got them up and running in the second half with a 53rd minute strike. And Javoni Simms capped off the victory for the Jerome Waite coached side in the 4th minute of second half stoppage time to ensure they moved to third in the standings with 26 points. Humble Lion remain 7th with 19 points. The league continues on Wednesday with three matches.

Second placed Waterhouse will play away to Harbour View, who have seen coach Ricardo "Bibi" Gardner tendering his resignation.

Fifth placed Cavalier are on the road to sixth placed Tivoli Gardens, while relegation-threatened Dunbeholden host Montego Bay United.
