Kingston CC proved too strong for Kingston and St Andrew, beating them five wickets in the second round of the JCA Jam Bashment T20 cricket competition on Saturday at Sabina Park. Inform leg spinner Patrick Harty who took 4-17 along with pacers James McDonald 3-21 and Boris Hutchinson 2-12, combined to dismiss KSACA for a meagre total of just 80 runs. Albert Rose top-scored with 23.
In their reply, Kingston were reeling at 2-2, before Brian Latore with an unbeaten 30 and Lionel Morant 21, posted a third wicket stand of 46 as the home team reached 84-5. Everton O’Harro bagged 3-21.
Meanwhile, St Catherine CC went down to their second straight defeat in the competition, this time they lost by one wicket to Clarendon. St Catherine first posted a competitive 183-3 from their 20 overs courtesy of 85 from Jeavour Royal and 51 from Carlos Brown.
Clarendon acheived their target at 187-9 with only four deliveries to spare thanks to an unbeaten 81 from Krishmar Santokie. Manchester registered their second win of the campaign with a comfortable 7 wicket win over Westmoreland.
Westmoreland were restricted to 121-8 from their 20 overs and Manchester cruised to 124-3 in 16.1 overs with Tristan Colemann 43, Brian Clarke 39 and Oshane Walters 26 getting the bulk of the runs.
