The newly-opened Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago could host the final of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) T20 tournament this summer. The stadium named after the former West Indies captain, was opened earlier this month.
Chief Executive Officer of the CPL Damien O’Donohue says he will meet with the officials in Trinidad to discuss the staging. However, the cost for the twin island republic to host the finale will be US $800, 000.
O'Donohue also confirmed that there have been international interest to host the final but says they intend to keep it in the Caribbean region.
