'Lights Out' gives Jamaica 2-1 lead in Contender Series

Team Jamaica is now leading the 2017 Wray and Nephew Contender junior middleweight series 2-1 after the country’s third ranked boxer Tsetsi ‘Lights Out’ Davis scored a split decision victory over Canadian Dave Leblond at the Chinese Benevolent Association on Wednesday night.

In what was a very close and entertaining fight, Davis won 49-46 and 48-47 on two of the judges’ scorecards while the third judge scored it 48-47 in favour of Leblond.

The 39 year old Davis improved his professional record to 17 wins against 5 losses while Leblond was suffering his first loss in two pro fights.
