Loose Cannon seeks victory in Overnight Allowance contest

Last year's classic contestant Loose Cannon will be looking to return to winning ways, at Caymanas Park on Saturday, in an Overnight Allowance contest going over 6 furlongs. There is no trophy race on the 10 race card, so this event takes centrestage with a purse of $1-million.

Loose Cannon", a 4 year old chestnut colt from the stables of champion trainer Wayne DaCosta has his favourite rider Omar Walker aboard once again and should make a brave bid for his second victory in his last three starts.

However, he will have to contend with the 7-5 morning-line favourite Prolific Princess. The 6 year old chestnut mare, who is now being trained by recently licensed trainer Junior Small, kept grade one company last year.

Gary Glitter to be partnered by Dick Cardenas, is also expected to figure prominently in the outcome. First post is 12:10 pm. Live coverage can be seen on TVJ Sports Network and heard on Hitz 92 FM.
