Manchester Spurs completed their preliminary round matches, beating St Ann Orchids 57-43 to put themselves atop the Berger Elite League standings heading into the semi-finals. Anna-Kay Griffiths scored 29 goals from 42 attempts as the Spurs ended the round winning 9 of their 10 matches.
Defending champions Kingston Hummingbirds had a tight 49-47 win over the St Catherine Racers, knocking them out of contention. The final round of the preliminary round games are being played on Wednesday evening with the St Ann Orchids taking on the Clarendon Gators in a match which will determine 3rd and 4th places. The semi-finals begin on Saturday at the National Indoor Sports Centre.
