MBU suffer first loss under coach Gama

Montego Bay United suffered their first defeat under new coach Luciano Gama going down 2-1 at home to Arnett Gardens in the Red Stripe Premier League on Sunday. The “Jungulists” took the lead in the 17th minute through Zhelano Barnes, but Dino Williams equalized for Mo Bay on minute 64. Jamiel Hardware though got the winner for Arnett in the 81st minute. The win puts Arnett 5th on 44 points two ahead of UWI who will take on Waterhouse in the Monday night fixture.

Meanwhile, Dunbeholden took a massive step towards safety after they defeated FC Reno 3-0  at the Royal Lakes playfield. De-Andre Thomas with goals in the 4th and 51st minutes along with a 58th minute strike from Demarrio Phillips, guided them to victory. Mount Pleasant  Academy and Cavalier played to a 0-0 draw at Drax Hall.

Meanwhile, Portmore United's eight game unbeaten run has come to an end after a 3-2 loss to Tivoli Gardens at the Edward Seaga Sports Complex. Harbour View picked up their second home win of the season after clipping Humble Lion 1-0. The all-important goal came in the 68th minute from Tevin Scott.
