McPherson highlights All Comers meet

2018 Commonwealth Games 400m bronze medalist Stephanie-Ann McPherson was one of the highlights at the JAAA All Comers meet at the National Stadium on Sunday, as she won the women's 200m in a time of 23.53 seconds. Anastasia Leroy who won silver in the 400m at the Commonwealth Games, finished second in 24.02.

In the men’s equivalent, quarter-miler Demish Gaye took that event in a time of 21. 25 seconds.
National 400 metre record holder Rusheen McDonald finished second in 21.57 while Jamari Rose was third in 21. 59.

2017 World University Games 100m champion Shashalee Forbes won the women's blue ribbon event in a time of 11.64 seconds. Olympic and Pan American Games gold medallist Sherone Simpson was second in 11.68 and UTech’s Shimayra Williams third in 11.70.

National champion Rhonda Whyte took the women’s 400m hurdles in 56. 09, ahead of Rushell Clayton 56.92 and Nikita Tracy of MVP in 57.75. 2017 World Championship bronze medalist Ristannana Tracy ended 5th in 58.88 after leading for the first 300m.
