Melbourne and JDF to meet in Senior Cup final

Melbourne CC and the JDF will contest the final of the JCA Senior Cup after garnering first innings points against Kingston CC and Westmoreland respectively. At Chedwin Park, defending champions Melbourne dismissed Kingston for 160 in response to Melbourne's 411-8 declared, after Kingston resumed the second and final day on 9-2.

Christopher Lamont claimed 5-49 while Damion Jacobs captured 4-75. Fabian Allen top-scored for Kingston with 49.

Batting a second time, Melbourne reached 153-9 when play was called off. Andre McCarthy made 75 against Odean Smith 3-32. Scores in the match: Melbourne 411-8 declared and 153-9, Kingston 160 all out.

Meanwhile, over at Sabina Park, led by 109 not out from Leighton Leslie, the JDF wrestled first innings point from Westmoreland. Resuming at 139-6, the soldiers marched to 297 all out as Leslie's hundred included 9 fours and one six. Faced with a deficit of 84, Westmoreland batted out the rest of the day to close on 132-5. Shahid Crooks made 43 against two wickets apiece for Damion Grey and Shamari Brown. Scores in the match: Westmoreland 213 and 132-5, JDF 297 all out.
