Miller spins Scorpions to brink of victory against Volcanoes

Led by another five wicket haul from captain Nikita Miller, the Jamaica Scorpions are on course to record a second straight victory in the regional four day cricket competition as they hold a commanding position over the Windward Islands Volcanoes at Sabina Park.

Miller has so far bagged 5-45 as the Volcanoes, who trailed by 152 on first innings, were struggling at 169-6 in their second innings when stumps were drawn, an overall lead of just 17 runs. Devon Smith 41 has so far topscored for the Volcanoes. 

Earlier, Fabian Allen notched his second century of the season, 105 not out, to help the Scorpions post 352 in their first innings. Miller supported with 52, after opener John Campbell had earlier made 71. Shane Shillingford took 7-94 for the Volcanoes.
