Mohammed wants lively pitches for Windies/India series

Voice of cricket commentator Fazeer Mohammed

With the world number one test team India set to tour the Caribbean in the summer, noted regional cricket commentator Fazeer Mohammed says he expects the same pitches for the tourists despite their bowling prowess.

India possess a bowling attack with the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami but despite the Winides middle order batters struggling in the recent series against England which they won 2-1, Mohammed says the pitches should remain the same.

“Whether it’s Queen’s Park Oval, or Sabina Park or Providence, I would be very disappointed if the authorities revert to the old lifeless pitches because they can turn up for the Indian bowlers due to the West Indian batsmen. Batsmen will either have to shape up or ship out; it’s as simple as that,” said Mohammed.
