Molynes United dethrone Barbican of Super League title

Molynes United are the new Magnum JN KSAFA Super League champions after dethroning Barbican 4-2 on penalties in Friday night's final at the Constant Spring Field. The dreaded shootout was needed to break the deadlock after the teams battled to a goalless regulation & extra time draw. Molynes earned $300,000 & a place in the confed playoffs for promotion to next season's Red Stripe Premier League, while Barbican collected the runner-up cheque for $250,000.

Earlier, Olympic Gardens were crowned champions of the major league competition after a 2-1 win over Seaview Gardens. Zenard Streete opened the scoring for Seaview Gardens in the 18th minute before Andre Brown equalized in minute 45. On the stroke of full time Stephon Maxfill got the winner for Olympic Gardens with a free kick. Both teams have been promoted to the KSAFA Super League for next season.
