Narine ranked No 1 in ODI cricket

West Indies spinner Sunil Narine is now the best ranked bowler in one day cricket. The Trinidadian has made an impact on his return to the ODI arena in the ongoing tri-series involving Australia and South Africa, where he has taken 8 wickets in four matches.

Prior to the tri-nation series, Narine’s last ODI game was in the summer of 2015. West Indies captain Jason Holder is the only teammate in the top 30 as he comes in at 24. West Indies opener Johnson Charles has improved to 34th in the batting rankings.

In the T20 format, West Indies also holds the number one bowling spot through Samuel Badree.
