National Under-15 football coach names training squad

National Under-15 football team head coach, Aaron Lawrence has called 25 players to a training camp this weekend.

The squad is beginning preparation for the 2017 CONCACAF Under-15 Boys' Championship scheduled for August 13-19 in Bradenton, Florida.

Forty of the 41 member associations in CONCACAF have expressed interest in participating in this developmental competition.

The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) says about 70 players have been identified be in a pool who could be called to national training. The scouting process for this pool began in January with a series of parish games.

The process of selection for the training squad will continue through the National Under-15 Boys Challenge Cup being staged by the JFF proposed to begin in May.
