Netball Jamaica could continue with co-coaching arrangement

Voice of Netball Jamaica President Dr Paula Daley-Morris

President of Netball Jamaica Dr Paula Daley Morris has hinted that they could continue with co-coaches Sasher-Gaye Henry and Marvette Anderson for the 2019 World Championship in England although they missed out on the opportunity to win the Commonwealth Games gold medal.

The Sunshine Girls who were in top form at the recent Commonwealth Games, suffered an agonizing 55-56 defeat to England  in the semi-finals before going on to outscore New Zealand 60-55 in the bronze medal playoff match.

But was this performance good enough for Henry and Anderson to keep their positions as joint head coaches of the team? "I know the traditional thing is to have a head coach and an assistant coach but we have seen the co-coaching situation working well and so they (Technical Committee of Netball Jamaica) will deliberate. I want what works so I’m going to rely on my Technical Committee,” noted Dr Daley-Morris.
