New champion to be crowned in ISSA Urban Area senior netball

A new champion will be crowned in the ISSA Urban Area Senior Netball Competition, while Gaynstead remain on course to defend their junior title. Gaynstead lost their unbeaten run in this season's senior competition and by extension their title, after going down 36-34 to 2017 winners Excelsior in the semi finals at the Leila Robinson Courts.

Norman Manley earned the right to challenge Excelsior for the title with an efficient 34-27 win over St Catherine High in the second semi-final. Despite losing the senior crown, Gaynstead remained on track to repeat as junior champions after getting the better of Immaculate 26-18 in their semi-final.

Gaynstead will go up against former champions St Hugh's High who brushed aside the challenge of Ardenne 42-22 in their contest. The finals of both competitions will be played on December 4 at the Leila Robinson Courts.
