A new home has been identified for the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JADCO). This, according to sports minister Olivia “Babsy” Grange who toured premises on Friday, promising that once retrofitted, JADCO will be in a new location by May. Minister Grange says property has been identified that will be the new location for JADCO..
The minister who made a site visit to the Ballater Avenue location on Friday said where JADCO is currently located on South Odeon Avenue is not ideal for the services provided. She noted that work was being done on the building and it should be completed to move into within three months. Meanwhile, Alexander Williams, Executive Director of JADCO, says the complex that will be shared with gender affairs, is suitable.
Williams told RJR Sports in January that it was a process he wanted to see expedited as the original property owned by the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) fell through.
